Hello to Ireland in 2011

Yes, we’ll be heading to Ireland in September of 2011 to visit gardens in green, green Eire. The dates and itinerary aren’t quite firmed up yet, but here’s a “sneak preview” of some of the locations that we hope will be included:

  • The glorious counties of Kerry and Cork with a three-night stay on the coast in Kenmare and visits to the gardens at Muckross House, Bantry House, and Garinish Island, and, of course, a trip around the gorgeous Ring of Kerry.

  • A visit to the amazing Ballymaloe Cookery School gardens, including their huge herb garden and two nights in peaceful Clonmel.

  • Four nights in Dublin with free time for shopping or exploring and visits to the remarkable Powerscourt Gardens, the evocative monastic ruins of Glendalough in the Wicklow Mountains, and the amazing neolithic tomb at Newgrange.

  • And finally, two nights near the Cliffs of Moher on the west coast.

We hope to have the plans finalized and the brochure available by later this summer. Keep checking the blog to get more details and to learn more about some of the locations we’ll be seeing. And, if you’re interested in joining us on this marvelous adventure to the Gardens of Ireland, please let us know, as we think this tour will fill rapidly.
