Ireland or Wales & the English Lake District in 2011?

So where would you like the 2011 Mary and Martha tour to travel: to Ireland or to Wales and the Lake District of England? We have received many requests for a tour to Ireland, “When are you going to Ireland?” And one alum in particular has repeatedly asked for a tour in The Lake District of England. We would also love to accompany a group to Wales and share with travelers our own ancestral castle of Dinefwr. Your input will help us pick the destination for the 2011 tour. Think about what destination you personally would seriously consider for a tour with us and tell us your preference: The Gardens of Ireland OR The Gardens of Wales and the Lake District.

Powerscourt Gardens in Ireland — the gardens at St. Fagan’s National History Museum in Wales

Either tour would include castles, heritage sites, history, fabulous scenery, and charming villages in addition to many gardens. And, of course, we always like to have a few surprise stops along the way. As on our past tours, we will work to find lodging in locations where we can stay for three nights with day trips to sites in the area. You have told us that you prefer staying several nights at a hotel rather than moving on to a new hotel every night.

Please add a comment below or send us an email telling us your preference for a 2011 tour so we can begin the planning. And if you have any other ideas, suggestions, or thoughts, we would love to hear from you.
